Coming Soon - CloudPower Firmware V2.0
APEX will reveal a comprehensive firmware and software refresh for the CloudPower range at Infocomm 2026 (June 17-19). Version 2.0 firmware incorporates a raft of new and enhanced features, plus a comprehensive restructuring of code to achieve speed and performance upgrades.
Admin users can now configure multiple user profiles with tailored access rights. The number of groups available across a CloudPower network has been boosted from six to 36 to enable more sophisticated zoning and system management. Speaker preset functionality has also been upgraded with the facility to incorporate multiple amplifier channels in a single preset, permitting settings for a multi-driver speaker to be stored and recalled together.
Standby mode has been remodeled to achieve lower power consumption while enabling a faster three-second start-up time. V2.0 firmware also unlocks the Bluetooth feature for ACW remote controllers on a CloudPower network, allowing users to stream audio from their devices.
CloudPower veterans will notice that navigation and setup feel quicker and more intuitive thanks to restructuring and rationalization of the code. Alongside the headline improvements there are many smaller tweaks like changes to the way the rotary encoder responds or the option to set input sensitivity, all of which add up to a smoother overall experience.
CloudPower firmware V2.0 will be made available for general download in the coming weeks.
