2022 – The Highlights

So that was 2022! Time to pour a long glass of something cold and take stock of a big year for APEX.

Thanks to the team members, partners, users, integrators and industry friends whose enthusiasm and support has played such a huge role in the APEX story.

All-in-all, 2022 was an epic year for APEX. We look forward to sustaining the momentum and growing the global APEX community 2023.

Here our top 5 impressions of a landmark year:

1. Crossing the Atlantic

Establishing distribution in the United States is a pivotal moment for any ambitious pro AV brand. Finding a partner with the reputation, contacts, and technical expertise to introduce CloudPower to this influential market was a big ask, so we were absolutely delighted to announce a distribution arrangement with Fulcrum Acoustic in 2022. With the ink scarcely dry on the agreement, we headed out to the Infocomm show in Las Vegas, where Stephen Siegel, Rich Frembes and the rest of the crew were the perfect hosts.

2. Winning Big

The annual AV Awards ceremony in London assembles the great and good of the pro AV world to celebrate the industry we love and toast the people and products that have been making waves in the past 12 months. We were thrilled enough that the judging panel had shortlisted CloudPower for Audio Product of the Year, taking its place alongside the latest innovations from industry legends like DiGiCo, Meyer Sound, L-Acoustics and Yamaha. We had no idea we would win the trophy until the presenters opened the envelope and invited us up to the stage. What a tremendous reward for the many, many months of research and development that went into creating CloudPower!

3. CloudPower-Ups

Our R&D team has not been resting on its laurels. As well as working behind the scenes on exciting new hardware, the team has added a slew of major new features to CloudPower firmware and the IntelliCloud WebUI during 2022, including a 10-input matrix on each channel, built-in signal generator, and UDP compatibility to name but a few.

4. Big in Barcelona

We were a little concerned that ISE 2022 might be a non-event. Industry gossip questioned whether this postponed exhibition in an unfamiliar city could draw the visitors. Our own booth was in a hard-to-find location. It didn’t look too promising. And then the doors opened. From start to finish we were busy meeting prospective distributors and demoing CloudPower to integrators who had heard about this ground-breaking new amplifier. Many of the connections made at ISE have since flourished into successful partnerships. We’ll be back with a bigger booth in a prime location for ISE 2023!

5. CloudPower in Action

For all the milestones of 2022, perhaps the greatest thrill for the APEX team has been seeing CloudPower doing the job it was created to do. From ice rinks and speedway tracks to houses of worship and fitness centres, from schools and universities to exclusive bars and luxury mansions, CloudPower is already working hard around the world.
