V1.3.5 Further Enhances Stability of CloudPower Platform

APEX CloudPower v1.3.5 firmware

Firmware v1.3.5 is an importance maintenance release for all APEX CloudPower models. The new firmware resolves outstanding issues and introduces changes to the boot up and firmware update processes to further enhance the stability and reliability of the CloudPower platform.

We recommend that all users update their APEX CloudPower amplifiers to v1.3.5.

 
Please note: 


Before updating to CloudPower firmware V1.3.5, please read the CloudPower Update Instructions carefully.

OEM amplifier customers – to ensure smooth operation, please follow guidance from the OEM manufacturer. Firmware for OEM amplifiers should always be downloaded from the OEM manufacturer’s website.

NEW FEATURES 

 – UDP command: request channel label. This UDP command allows CloudPower channel names to be shared with third party devices.

ENHANCEMENTS

– Internal dual redundant boot up mechanism. A more robust boot up system has been implemented, employing separate copies of system files.

– Improved firmware update mechanism. The way firmware updates are managed within the amplifier has been upgraded to eliminate the potential for packet loss during the update process.

– Default channel naming. The default channel name for CloudPower amplifier channels has been changed to Output A, Output B, etc.

 

ISSUES RESOLVED

– v1.3.4 boot issue. Firmware v1.3.5 resolves an issue with some CloudPower amplifiers running v1.3.4 firmware becoming locked during the boot up sequence.

– IntelliCloud changes reflected on CloudPower hardware. V1.3.5 resolves a caching issue which could result in changes made in the IntelliCloud WebUI not being promptly reflected by the relevant CloudPower hardware unit.  

 
Firmware v1.3.5 builds on the recent v1.3.4 release, which added a number of important new features to CloudPower and IntelliCloud.
